Academic integrity
Last updated 7 October 2026
AcademHep is a mentorship service for final year and Masters students working on technology projects. This page sets out the rule every student and every mentor accepts before using it, and what we do when the rule is broken.
What the service is
A student is matched with a mentor who works in the field of the project. Through the workspace on this site, the mentor:
- reviews the chapters and the build the student submits, and gives feedback on them;
- explains what needs attention and why;
- helps the student understand their supervisor's comments;
- runs a mock defence before the real one.
What students agree to
- The work you submit to your institution is your own.
- You follow your institution's rules on getting outside help. Where those rules and this page differ, your institution's rules come first.
- You do not ask a mentor, or anyone else you meet through AcademHep, to write your report, build your system or supply work for you to submit.
- You remain responsible for your project, for understanding it, and for defending it.
What mentors agree to
- Provide expert guidance and quality oversight throughout project development.
- Support chapter development, system builds, and troubleshooting in line with academic requirements.
- You give your feedback through the project workspace on this site.
Mentors accept these terms when they apply and again each time they accept a project.
What we do
- We require every student and every mentor to accept this rule before they can use the service.
- We keep mentoring on the site, where there is a record of what was submitted and what feedback was given. Messages and files on the site can be reviewed by our team, as set out in the Terms.
- We look into every report we receive.
- We suspend or remove accounts that break this rule, and we may end the project concerned.
What we cannot promise
Students and mentors are independent people who use this site. Each is responsible for their own conduct. We set the rule, we require everyone to accept it and we act when we learn it has been broken, but we cannot watch every exchange and we do not guarantee that every user will keep to it.
We also do not guarantee any grade, approval or other academic result. How your work is assessed is a matter between you and your institution.
Reporting a concern
If you think a student or a mentor is breaking this rule, tell us through "Report a problem" on your project page or at integrity@academhep.com. Reports are read by our team only, and the person you report is not told who made it.
